Four Pillars of Sustainability

Sustainability, by definition, refers to the overarching goal of meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This calling for stewardship of the planet, resources, and people is paramount to Anomatic, an essential component of who we are as an organization and how we want to evolve in the future. As such, we are constantly setting goals and measuring our progress through four key pillars that provide the foundational support for our sustainability programs and initiatives.

People

Our most important resource.
We are committed to the development and care of our team. Their involvement in our sustainable efforts is a two-way street that benefits us all.

Products

We are driven to bring to market new, 100% recyclable, eco-friendly offerings that will positively impact the environment.

Processes

Our manufacturing is centered on innovative, economically sound manufacturing processes that minimizes negative environmental impacts while conserving energy and natural resources.

Partners

We work with like-minded companies who also value and incorporate sustainable practices into all aspects of their business model.

Sustainability Programs and Initiatives

As a world-leader in packaging for many diverse industries, it is imperative that we set a positive example that reflects the values of our team. We continue to implement programs that reduce waste, increase recycling, and reduce our carbon footprint. It is just the beginning. Our commitment is to a closed loop system featuring more circular packaging options by utilizing recycled and recyclable materials.

SUSTAINABILITY By the NUMBERS

SEE THE IMPACT

Recycled aluminum saves more than 90% of greenhouse gas emissions associated with primary aluminum products and requires only 8% of the energy. Although recycled aluminum is ideal, the energy needed to produced primary aluminum is down more than 25% since 1995 and the carbon footprint is down nearly 40%. This is the equivalent of 37 million barrels of oil saved and 25 million tons of CO2e GHG reduced per year. Brands across the world understand the environmental advantages of aluminum.¹

World-leading companies in the beverage industry, for example, are switching from PET bottles to aluminum cans or bottles, a prudent choice considering aluminum cans offer 3X the recycled content of glass or plastic bottles. In fact, the average can contains about 70% PCR, offering a true closed loop recycling process.

Several years ago, the nation's most popular pickup truck was converted from an all-steel body to a high-strength, all-aluminum body. The resulting vehicle was incredibly durable, 700 lbs lighter, and boasted 23% better fuel economy with lower emissions. It has the smallest life-cycle carbon footprint of any full-size truck in North America. That's the power of aluminum.
