Project Scope
Anomatic Corporation developed a bright color anodizing process to color the aluminum flashlight body components for a major U.S. consumer products company. Anomatic was able to provide consistent color matching across all four components in the body assembly.

Challenge
Focusing primarily on the safety market, the customer used black anodized aluminum for their flashlight body components. In order to expand into the general consumer market, the customer wanted to introduce a line of flashlights in different colors. Their existing vendors could not provide consistent colors within two shades across all the body components.

Solution
Anomatic developed a unique color chemistry and altered their process to compensate for the different base metals used in the components. Using a custom designed racking system and a custom conveyor anodizing system, Anomatic was able to provide consistent color matching across all components from batch to batch, and has been doing so for the last 18 years.
